Getting closer to 2016!
2015 has been a good year.
My son and his wife are expecting
and this will be our first grandchild.
Baby "B" will make
his/her debut at the end of June.
I am starting early for Valentine's Day.

Snowmen

 I had a busy Christmas.
The weather was warm so we didn't have to worry about driving
in the snow. We drive to Lake Erie Christmas eve.
My FIL's house is right by the water.
In the summertime it is a busy place.
The winter is so much calmer.
This is a snowman my friend made.
I am going to make some.
I love them.
 Some of my Cody Foster snowmen.
I just finished this rug.

 Here we are 10 days away from Christmas!
I almost have all of my shopping done.

It's Windy!!!

 
There are lots of Christmas open houses here.
I am getting excited about
decorating for Christmas.
The wind has been blowing so hard
today and yesterday.
Everything on my front porch
has gotten blown around.
Hope it stops soon.

Turkey Rug

We have had a nice fall!
 We are preparing for winter though.
Tomorrow I will getting
a new freezer delivered.
We bought beef- a whole steer!!

Frost on the Pumpkin

 It has frosted 2 nights in a row.
Still have some hanging baskets
that are still living.
This is my first winter rug,
my design.
 Grady sniffing the wind.
The leaves are falling,
so I will be on leaf duty.
It's that time of year and
Tom reminded me that we had frost 2 weeks
earlier last year.

Happy Fall!



 We are having  beautiful fall days.
It will come to an end, sadly.
Our pumpkins were
so fun to decorate with this year.
This is a Halloween Fairy garden I made
for my daughter in law.
 New/ old wheelbarrow
I got at a garage sale!!

 I put this together, the head is a birdhouse gourd.
 Fornt porch
 I've kept adding to this,
I'm done now. LOL!
 Switched out this fairy garden to fall.
 I've had these terra cotta pumpkins for years.

Another Fairy garden that I switched to Halloween.

Happy October



Here we are in October!!
You never know what the
 weather will be like in October.
Our town has a street fair that
starts tomorrow through Saturday.
It was a busy time of the year
when my kids were younger.
They showed hogs and steers every year.
 
 
 

We planted pumpkins Memorial Day
and harvested them
Labor Day.
It hasn't frosted here so,
we have more still growing.
It's so fun decorating with
all of them.
This rug I hooked for someone,
it's my design.

Malabar Farm

Yesterday we did the In The Spirit of Friends show at Malabar Farms in Lucas, Ohio.
There were lots of people and the weather was beautiful.
Stacie and I were in the building right beside the house.
 
 
 
It was nice meeting Facebook friends
and seeing others that I've met before.

Pumpkins

I have been making concrete pumpkins.

Butterflies

Y
 We have lots of milkweed in a field
on our farm.
Yesterday I was mowing
and noticed lots of butterflies.
Many Monarchs and other different butterflies.
 
As soon as I got my camera,
They fluttered into the corn field.
It was more fun to watch them then to take a picture
of them.

Harvest Rug

September is moving right along.
We turned the heat on in our house yesterday.
Not ready for cold weather, I don't think we are done with
air conditioning yet.
All of our crops are about ready to be harvested.
It is always a relief when the corn is off.

It was cold and rainy.
I went to Quail Crest this morning.

Autumn Leaves Rug

 Happy Tuesday!
This is the latest fall rug
I've hooked!
The design is by Lynn Ann Davis.
 This morning when I was letting my chickens out, I
noticed our zucchini.
It was planted very late.
I missed one and it was huge.
That's ok, I will make a
cake or bread.
Then I noticed the morning glories were
blooming and going up the blue spruce.
Looked like garland.
