Turkey Hill Rug

I managed to get this rug finished, that's a major accompliment right now. I've been organizing all my kitchen cupboards, getting rid of alot of stuff I don't use. This isn't one of my favorite things to do because I end up with a big mess. I know it's worth it in the end because everything will be clean and organized. There is so many things I want to get done before it gets really cold. I think this is called "nesting" LOL!
The rug is a pattern from Lori Brechlin- Notforgotten Farms. It was in her fall book but, you can get the pattern drawn up at Spruce Ridge Studios.
My sister and I went to Columbus to go thrift store shopping. We met up with my daughter, Lindsay, who is living there going to college at OSU. We had a great time and found alot of nice stuff.
Have a great evening!

  2. Love the rug. Just found out this afternoon we have a new shop opening in town that will offer rug and hooking supplies. I have always wanted to give it a try so maybe I can now that I can purchase the supplies. Glad you had a great day shopping. Can't wait to see pictures of your finds

  5. Love this rug! Such a great design hooked so wonderfully in the just right colors!

Yes, it is nesting time... I've been trying to make some time to organise and clean so that my home is set for hooking and quilting all winter... if I could just grow some more time, ya' know?

  6. Awesome rug! I bought a turkey rug pattern, but there's little hope in getting it hooked for Thanksgiving. If I start it now...maybe by next year!
