Our New Baby

Isn't she cute!! Yes, that is a toilet. Our puppies always like bathrooms, I think the floor is cool. My daughter Lindsay has been looking for a Golden Retriever puppy for us for months. She has been asking me and I kept saying no we weren't ready. We have 2 Goldens now Gus and Abby. Abby is getting old and she has alot of issues. I just give her an aspirin a day and she does pretty well. Gus is 5 years old and still acts like a puppy. Anyways, today I gave in she sent pictures and I couldn't resist. She is college in Columbus at OSU living in an apartment. She lives with a couple girls. One of the girls has a Yorkie, she is so cute her name is Tillie. So for right now the puppy is having a great time with Tillie. Lindsay will bring the puppy home sometime this week. My husband wants to go get it NOW!! So we'll see I can't wait to hold her. I love Goldens this will be the 5th one we've had since we've been married.

Bird Dog Rug

I finished this rug yesterday and listed it on Ebay. I'm not too happy with the pictures, I'm going to try to take new ones. The pattern is out of the book Purely Primitive. I've had the book for a long time and haven't hooked anything out of it. There are some nice patterns in the book.

I LOVE spring!! It usually comes just in the nick of time. WHY?? I'm at my wits end with the cold weather. I start mowing as soon as I can, I'm one of those people who love to mow. Not push mow but, on my John Deere riding lawn mower.
I haven't planted alot of annuals, so glad I didn't it frosted here last week. Some of my flowers are starting to bloom. Here are some pictures I took today. The hostas look so pretty this time of year. They are so fresh looking, in a few weeks they will probably get a few holes in the leaves from slugs. I have problem with them but, I don't use chemicals to kill slugs. I just put up with them or try to use natural stuff to get rid of them.I'm hoping for sunshine here in Ohio. Primitive Bird Folk Art Hooked Rug

I sure wish this weather would straighten out. I shouldn't complain because I know the tornados have been bad across Oklahoma. We are under a tornado watch till tonight. Hope we don't get any bad storms, I don't like bad storm I get SCARED!!
I haven't planted flowers or vegebables yet, we had a frost last week. So, I have flats of flowers everywhere. If you don't buy them early they sell out.
Yesterday I finished hooking this rug. I love the design, it's by Mad Hen. Bought the pattern at the Walnut Creek Hook-in. Tonya was there and I just LOVED all of stuff. Hope everyone has a good evening with no bad storms!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!! My sister and I met at my mom's house for mom's day. It is so cold in Ohio today and it might frost tonight. I brought all my plants in last night, thank goodness I haven't planted any flowers yet. I have been out working in my flower beds, I did plant all of my dahlia tubers. They aren't up yet so frost won't hurt them.
I have been hooking this rug. It is pretty long, it's 33.5" X 14". Took me awhile to hook this rug. My favorite designs are patriotic. This design is by Buttermilk Basin. I listed it on Ebay tonight. Hope everyone has a great week!!
