Joanne~Wilberry in PRHG posted this and I thought it was very fitting.
Rug Hookers Psalm
Rug hooking is my hobby-- I shall want no other.
It maketh me to lay down my mop and broom-
Walk by my dirty dishes to my hooking room.
It restoreth my piece of mind and leadeth me
Into strange places, wools to find.
Yea, though I am alone with dye pots and wools,
I feel no loneliness.
The snip of shears and click of hook, they comfort me.
I prepare a rug on my frame, sit and hook while my dishpan runneth over.
Surely, I will have dye in the cereal at breakfast and I will dwell in a state of confusion forever.

Getting Closer to Graduation
This is a picture of last year's prom. Everyone is buying their dresses now. The prom isn't until May but, the girls have been searching for their dresses since January. Last year Lindsay was home and in bed by 10:30 PM. All of them went out to eat before prom and Lindsay found out she's allergic to shrimp. She had a bad reaction. She did make it through the dance part of the prom. I felt so bad for her.
Lindsay's senior year is flying by. Graduation is getting closer... this is a picture of Lindsay and a few of her friends.

Easter Sunday
I just listed this rug on Ebay tonight. I love the colors in it and it was fun to make. When you have the right colors it makes hooking a rug so much easier. I don't like it when the colors aren't right. It is a Buttermilk Basin design.
Finally!!! A sign of spring. When these little spring flowers bloom it is spring. I use the glass cloches in the spring. When it gets really cold I cover the new flowers to protect them.
Gracie is helping me look, I think she's smelling something else though.

Last Summer's Drought
I bought this kettle at an auction not far from my house. It was the estate of elderly lady named Mrs. Fisher. She collected Daylilies, her daughter told me she would buy some of them for 150.00. I had alot of fun at that auction. Wish I would have known her.
This was taken during last summer's drought. The grass was brown.
This is my herb garden. After it started raining everything started finally growing. The weeds did too.
There are only 4 wave petunia plants. I'm going to put alot of them around this year. They really did well.
