I WON a Pattern On PRHG Today!!!

I'm so excited~I never win. But I did today. We are playing "I SPY" on PRHG it is so much fun!! Merrie~maggiesfarm1846 gave away a copy of her pattern as a prize. I LOVE the pattern Merrie.
On PRHG I do a weekly feature of a PRHG member. The feature is a collage of rugs they have made. This is Merrie on the right with her mom. The pattern I won is the black cat in the bottom right corner~ THANKS Merrie!!!

Primitive Pumpkin Rug On Ebay

I just listed this rug on Ebay tonight. It was hooked by me and is a Maria Barton~ Star Rug Company design. This is a design that Maria submitted to the Fall/ Winter PRHG pattern book. Thanks Maria!!

It's my BF Chris's birthday tommorrow. She's leaving at 2:00 AM to go to the airport to go to Williamsburg, Virginia. Another friend, Wanda, is going with Chris. I couldn't go this time.
I finished this rug and gave it to Chris tonight. The colors in the rug are not as bright as they are in the picture. The rug reminds me of a game board. It is a Kindred Spirits pattern. It's actually a purse pattern with one star, I just added 3 more stars.

Tea Cup Fairy Garden

I bought this terra cotta tea cup and saucer last year. I almost forgot I had it. I planted sedum, little hens and chickens~with a little bee skep.

Meet Gus!!

This is our Golden Retriever Gus. He has to have something in his mouth. What a BIG baby. Here's 3, he only has 3 legs he is missing his front leg. When he was 6 months he got hit by a truck. It was horrible!!! Not a scratch on him when he was hit, just his leg.

It's A Jungle

This is a good year for growing Phlox in Ohio. The purple clusters of flowers are the phlox. The low flowers in the front are Profusion Zinnia. Of course, sunflowers are the tallest. I didn't plant the sunflowers, they are volunteer. They seed down every year. The Gold Finches love them and eat all the seeds. It is amazing that they seed down because the finches eat all the seeds.

I'm going to plant wave petunias again next year. They do so well when you plant them right in the ground. There are just a few plants that I planted. Wave petunias are a good ground cover.

Tommy cut down a tree for me this spring. So we are lacking shade for some of my hostas. They are doing ok though. The hosta in the picture is called Dance With Me. I planted it last year and it's one of my favorites.

My morning glories have grown!! They have started to take over. I love the blue flowers. I can't believe we are a couple weeks into August. The summer is flying by.

A Buddy For My Scarecrow

I still need to put their arms on. I want to find some old gardening tools to fit on the ends of their arms. And I want to put a metal star on their hats. Their faces are turning darker now that the wood is drying. I'll post another picture when I get everything done. Seems like I don't have alot of spare time.

Gentle Breezes In Ohio

The weather people were calling for REALLY hot weather today. It's not bad though. There's nothing like seeing a flag blowing in the wind.
