Sandhill Cranes On The Farm

We have had Sandhill Cranes on our farm for the 5th year.
They arrive in early spring and they will be leaving soon
for their winter home.
Sandhill Cranes are really interesting to watch, they look and sound prehistoric.
Our school brings classes out to our farm
to observe them.
The pictures aren't the greatest,it was gloomy day when we took the pictures.

I have been really busy and haven't had time to blog.
We moved Lindsay back to her apartment in Columbus, OSU started last week.
I have been trying to get painting done outside before winter comes.
Hopefully things will slow down and I can get back to hooking.
Hope everyone has a great day!!

  1. These Sandhill cranes fly through our neck of the woods too! It's always a small world ;-) Great pictures!

  2. Those cranes are neat looking... never seen one before... Autumn is so busy as it is the last minute rush to get the outdoors taken care of before the snow starts to fly! .... oh my... did I just say the "S" word?!?!?!? LOL! Have a great day!

  3. Lucky you with the cranes. I've seen them in flight, but never up close and personal.
