Farm Rug

I hooked this rug for Anne who lives on
a farm in Iowa.
She raises Black Angus and her farm is named Mamma.
I am happy tomorrow is May 1.
There is a lot going on this weekend.
It seems like everything happens on the same weekend.
Monday is my annual flower shopping
with my sister, mom and daughter in law. Can't wait!!

Hidden House Rug

I love this rug. The design is by Maggie Bonanomi.
Most of it was hooked by Julie Burns, I finished it for her.
This is how I got it in the mail. I just finished it.
All the colors are in the rug are so nice.
Have a great evening!

A Wedding Shower

 I had a busy/fun weekend.
Lindsay came home from Iowa Thursday.
Her best friend Natalie, who is like a daughter to me,
is getting married in May.
Lindsay is her maid of honor.
We rented this cabin at Malabar Farms.
It is where the movie Shaw Shank Redemption
filmed some scenes of the movie.
 I loved her cake-cupcakes.

Love the way everything turned out.
 The dessert table.

 The bride to be, Natalie.

This is a pretty light that is in the cabin.
I potted up plants to give everyone.

Congrats Natalie!

Wet Spring

This is the latest rug I've hooked.
I bought the pattern at the Hookin in Berlin, Ohio.
It is from Terri Lehmer-Red Snapdragon Farm
I used abut the same colors as she did.
Love the way it turned out.
Tommy, Murray and I went mushroom hunting
in our woods.
I think it might be too early, didn't find any.
This is the back of our farm.
Not much field work happening,
It's really wet.
Have a great evening.

Primitive Handmades Mercantile April Update

Well, it's that time again.
Primitives Handmades Mercantile
April Update.
Love this little cabin rug.
The design is from
a magazine.
Trying to figure out which one.
Could be Mercantile Gatherings, Create and Decorate.
I want to give credit, just having a hard time finding it again. LOL!

Bee skep- My design.
This is a pattern from Star Rug Company.
I decided to change the red barn to white.
Our barns are white, reminded me of our farm.

I really like this one.
It is for my friend, Sharon.
Her mother lived on Black Pike in Kentucky.
The design is adaption of a Notforgotten Farm sampler.
Lori Brechlin kindly gave me permission to hook it.
Have a great evening

Amish Country Hook-In

Today I went to Berlin to the Amish Country Wool
Artisans Hook-In at the Martin's Creek
Mennonite Church.
I met my friends Stacie and Rhonda there.
 This is Maggie Bononami, who
is a rock star in the rug hooking world.
I have all of her books.
They have a rug show. Here are just a few rugs.
I had to buy something from Maggie.
The little Acorn pinkeep came home with me!
 LOVE this rug!
Maggie and I.

Have a great weekend!

Crow and Bees

It is so nice out right now.
Don't think it is going to last though.
I will take  what we get.
As you can tell, I'm in the mood for
Gardening themed rugs.

I have these flowers everywhere.
The bees are buzzing and you can hear them.
Have a great spring day!
