Garden Rug

WHEW! Made it through Memorial Day weekend.
It was  busy here but, fun.
I've got lots of work to do in my flower beds.
I stopped planting last week because we had frost 2 nights in a row.
I covered up what I had planted, no damage, just a house full of flats of flowers.
I have been working on this rug, it took awhile because there is lots of detail.
It is a Notforgotten Farm Pattern from an OOP booklet.

We got our new air conditioning installed today!!
I'm really excited, we've needed a new one for a long time.
Just in time for the 90 degree weather we are supposed to have
later this week.
I only got 1 lady slipper bloom this year.
I love this plant, I am thankful that the plant survived the winter.
Hopefully, we will get more blooms next year.
Have a great Tuesday!

Happy Mother's Day

Frost warning!
So I'll be outside gathering up all my flowers
bringing them inside.
I'm so glad I didn't plant any of them.
I was very tempted to though.
My son, Tommy, got me this for Mother's Day.
It is a Bottlebrush Buckeye Tree.
I love it!
I had a very nice weekend.
Lindsay and Tommy came home for the weekend,
both live in Columbus.
I did spend time with my other son, Danny.
Unfortunately at the ER.
His girlfriend was very sick,so glad she went.
She was very dehydrated.
Ashlee is lots better today.
Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

My Very First Golf Rug

Good Friday Evening!
This is a first for me, a golf rug.
I really love the way it turned out.
It took me most of the week to get it finished.
I designed this myself for Sharon who lives in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Her husband got a hole in one on the 4th hole at Canebrake Golf Course.
I have been busy mowing, the grass is growing fast.
I've been flower shopping too.
Have a great weekend!

Spring Flowers

The weather is beautiful!!
Last week I went to several greenhouses.
I like to go get plants for containers and plant them now.
They can easily brought inside if it gets too cold outside.
I did get a couple of clematis plants and a few different hostas.
Friday we went to the Rural Society Antique and Garden Show
in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
This is a stacked planter that they had for sale,
I have everything to make one, I love it!!

I bought a metal child's wheelbarrow, the 3rd one I've this spring. A rosemary topiary in a hypertufia pot and a wooden box for a fairy garden. You can see it in the picture above.  Have a happy Sunday!!

Is It Really Spring?

I think it's really spring!
It will be in the 70's today and it looks like spring.
I went to the greenhouse yesterday and I'm going tomorrow.
You have to get the stuff you really want because they sell out fast here.
I hooked this little rug, the pattern is from Madhen Primitives.
Hope everyone has a great day!
