It seems things can change fast here on Butler Farms.
Last night at 5:30 PM we lost power.
We had strong winds and heavy rain but, it didn't seem bad.
Well, a few miles away in Wooster, Ohio there was a tornado that touched down.
There was lots of damage in other towns near by also.
It hit OARDC a branch of OSU.
There was lots of other damage to homes also.
Millions of dolors in research was ruined. It seems no one was hurt.
Amazing!!
I am so thankful we have a generator.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Glad you and your family are safe, Julie! Those same storms came through our way and possible tornado touched down about 20 miles from here. It's very unusual for our area to have tornados... LOVE that punkin' in your pic! :-)
ReplyDeleteI heard about the damage in Ohio from the Early Show this morning. So sorry to hear about the losses in research but very glad no one was hurt. When it came through here, it was just a light rain with no punch!?!?!
ReplyDeleteJulie ~
ReplyDeleteYou can blog from your generator? How cool is that?
That's about the same time a hellacious storm came through up north, but thankfully I don't think we had any tornados or damage.
I hope I see you tomorrow at Malabar.
Hugs :)
Lauren
So glad your safe. Hope your electric comes back on soon. Too bad about all the damage to the surrounding community but glad no one was seriously injured.
ReplyDeleteOhh, how frustrating. I hope you get back on the grid soon. Luckily you had no major storm damage.
ReplyDeleteWow, good thing you got that generator, hope it is back on soon, this better not stop you from coming to the show, darn it!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you came through the storm alright. I'm in Medina and we just got heavy rain here.
