Osage Oranges and Apples

It still hasn't frosted here so we're still getting vegetables out of our garden. I've been cutting flower for little bouquets for our house. If I hear about frost
I'll be cutting LOTS of flowers. I really miss them in the winter!!
Today I went to get apples at the local orchard with my best friend Chris. The apples are beautiful this year. I want to make applesauce and pies. On the way home we picked up hedge apples or osage oranges on the side of the road. I love to get them.
I'm working on a hooked turkey rug, hope to finish it by the end of the week.
Enjoy your autumn evening!

  6. I miss the flowers in winter too....... I dry all kinds of stuff I think some are weeds and bring them in for winter....... Are those hedge apples something that last a long time?
Can't wait to see your latest rug....... all of your rugs are fantastic!
