Dogs and Chickens

  Before we know it, it's
going to be February.
I finished this little rug,
it is a pattern from Mad Hen Primitives.
This morning the dogs and I
went down to the barn to check the chickens.
Everything was good.

We keep seeing a Red Tailed Hawk
hanging around our grain bins.
I sure hope he leaves my chickens alone.

Our dogs love getting a drink out of
the water trough.
They love playing in it.
Have a great day.

  1. There are red tail hawks here in my area as well and I've seen them swoop in and get food and out again quick. They are beautiful and need to eat too but wouldn't want them to take my 'animal family' whether chickens or rabbits. And while I don't have cats, you can certainly add them to the list as well. My Rottweiler is big so he won't be on the menu.

    Hope your chickens stay safe.
