Because the pot might freeze solid. It would probably make it but, if I like plants I usually don't take chances.Plumruncreek ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/00104947256725009254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119561415058087122.post-51574219954813311252009-08-28T23:19:17.514-04:002009-08-28T23:19:17.514-04:00Julie...your flowers are amazing! Actually, the container is plastic (heavy plastic) that looks like a short, squat strawberry pot. And I'm in Kansas, Topeka specifically.JoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12488275878253530422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119561415058087122.post-84882429279178838652009-08-26T18:56:58.179-04:002009-08-26T18:56:58.179-04:00I just love your wonderful garden pictures!I just love your wonderful garden pictures!dulcyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03968739115493352579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119561415058087122.post-74107414523398238112009-08-26T18:24:28.587-04:002009-08-26T18:24:28.587-04:00Julie - your gardens are always so beautiful. Your pot might break if you leave it out. I'm assuming it is breakable? You can hardly kill hens and chicken(they are hardy) so, in the spring plant them back in you pot. Thank you for your nice comments.

Thanks Kathy and Alice!!Plumruncreek ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/00104947256725009254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119561415058087122.post-25496407931651348552009-08-26T09:22:38.045-04:002009-08-26T09:22:38.045-04:00Gorgeous!!! But as someone who always checks in here but rarely posts, might I ask a question?

I have a small container that I bought at Lowe's this spring. It looks like a strawberry pot but is filled with hens and chicks.

As we enter fall, can I replant the hens and chicks to my garden and will they survive the winter? Or are they doomed and I'll need to replant the pot with new succulents come spring?

I love flowers but really am no gardener. I stick to the perennials and plant what I like the looks of.

Thanks for your gorgeous pictures that inspire me to become a better gardener.JoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12488275878253530422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7119561415058087122.post-91262363380137868062009-08-25T17:05:27.754-04:002009-08-25T17:05:27.754-04:00All your flowers look beautiful!
