Snow Storm

 You would never guess by
looking outside that
in a few hours we will be getting snow.
Winter is just getting started
here in Ohio.
This is a new design by Lynn Ann Davis.
It was fun to hook.

I will be heading in town to get a few groceries.
We are going to make bacon wrapped water chestnuts
for the Super Bowl and don't have the chestnuts!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I'd rather have pretty snow than mud!!

Firkins Rug

I have been wanting to hook
a rug with firkins on it.
I think it would be a great addition
to a firkin collector.
Now I am thinking of making one for myself just like this one that says "Butler."
The dogs and I were walking up from the barn.
They LOVE going with me to check the chickens.
All the way they like rolling in the snow.
I love it when the skies are blue,
so pretty.
Hope you have a great day!

Farmhouse Rug

We got 5 1/2 inches of snow last night.
Nice fluffy snow!
This is the latest rug I've hooked, it's
my design.
My chickens have been laying lots
of eggs.
I have an Americana hen,
she lays the blue eggs.
They look like Easter eggs.
Stay warm!

Heart and Hand Rug

They are calling for snow.
Don't know if we will get much but,
today I went for groceries.
Finished this little rug.
It is an adaption of a With Thy Needle and Thread design.
Have a great weekend!

Dogs and Chickens

  Before we know it, it's
going to be February.
I finished this little rug,
it is a pattern from Mad Hen Primitives.
This morning the dogs and I
went down to the barn to check the chickens.
Everything was good.

We keep seeing a Red Tailed Hawk
hanging around our grain bins.
I sure hope he leaves my chickens alone.

Our dogs love getting a drink out of
the water trough.
They love playing in it.
Have a great day.

PHM January 2015 Update

Tonight is our Primitive Handmades Mercantile
January update.
This is one of the rugs I hooked for the update.
My daughter created this collage of pictures of 2014. A lot happened for her
in 2014. Needless to say, her dad and I are very proud of her.
We are also proud of our boys!!
Tommy and Jordan got married.
Danny is doing well working at Exodus Cycles.
I am blessed.

Winterfest 2015

It was Mohican Winterfest in Loudonville
this weekend.
The weather was perfect for
the ice sculptures.
I'm thinking spring, so
I hooked a rabbit.
It is a design from Peyton Primitives.
 Maddie was making snow angels.
Grady looks like he's thinking, what are you doing?
This is one of the sculptures, a huge pig.
 Pineapples are always a favorite.
This is a store front in our town, a beauty shop.
So cute!!
What a beautiful carved castle.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Welcome 2015!!

Another year has come and gone.
I am looking forward to 2015.
We had a great Christmas!
I missed snow but, we
travel Christmas eve.
Makes it a lot easier
when the roads aren't slippery.
This is the latest rug I've hooked.
It is a design by With Thy Needle and Thread.
A Valentine's Day rug.
I am ready to go through our house
and get rid of a lot of stuff.
I'm in the mood.
Have a great weekend!
