Braiding

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. It was beautiful yesterday and I enjoyed it! Now I am really in the mood to do things outside.
 Last week I went to the hookin in Millersburg and Heavens to Betsy was there. Betsy and her hubby were so nice and of course I bought lots of wool. I had to leave early, so I missed Betsy showing how to add a braid to your rugs. Rhonda Thomas kindly showed me how to do the technique Betsy showed everyone. So here it is, love the look. Also, the design is by Tonya-Madhen Primitives. I've always wanted to make a big braided rug and I might just try it. Happy Sunday!

Spring!!!

I think spring has finally arrived. I know some of my blog friends have been getting snow, hope we don't get anymore. I mowed for the first time this spring and felt so good to get outside. Spring is my favorite time of the year! I did finish this Robin rug, took me awhile. It has lots of detail to hook, I used 3 different sizes of strips. The rug is a Country Stitches design. Folk Art Rug

It's storming here and my dogs are scared of thunder and lightning. 

They all want sit on my lap. 

The spring flowers are popping up.

I have been waiting for it to rain so I can put grass seed out. 

Don't want to hit by lightning, I am going to wait!!

This is my latest hooked rug, it is a design by Vermont Folk Rug pattern. 

I know I sound like a broken record but, I can't believe it's Wednesday!

Tavern Sign Rug

The sun is shining again today!

I could get used to this.

Today I finished this rug,  I really like the way it turned out.

It looks like an old tavern sign.

It is a pattern from Lori Brechlin-Notforgotten Farm.

The sun is shining again in Ohio!! Love it! Last night I completely finished this rug. It is a new Country Stitches pattern. Hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods- have a great day!

April

 We had a very nice Easter. My sister and her family were on vacation, so we missed them.

We had fun at my mom and dad's, it was fun to have a little one. 

It did rain here.

Have you heard the saying, if rains on Easter Sunday

it rains for the next 7 Sundays?

 You can feel spring in the air.

I am just starting to think about flowers.

 I bought more of this fencing. 

 I love red geraniums!

 I will have to plant more color, thought this was too 

bland. I love hot pinks and reds!
