Liberty Rug
Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. We did, it was so hot though. They say everything is 3 weeks early, strawberries are ready. I'm going to make jam this week, the weather is supposed get cooler. I also have a big pile of mulch to spread,it's looking like a busy week.
I did finish this Liberty rug, the design is by Country Stitches. I've had the pattern for awhile,I really like the way it turned out. It has alot of detail but, was fun to hook. I am offering it for sale, if you are interested my email address is on the side. Until next time.... Julie

Just Getting Started
I have been busy getting flowers planted, I still have lots to do! Everyday I've been plugging away. Today I finished planting pepper and tomato plants in our garden. I cheat and use landscaping fabric so I don't have to weed. I read in the Mary Jane magazine she uses it as much as she can So, I figure if it's good enough for Mary Jane then it's ok for me to use it.
I don't know what the name of this climbing rose is but, it's doing well. Those are the large Alliums they are kind of expensive. this year there's a few more than last year. I started out with just 1 bulb. I really like them.
I'm addicted to collecting hostas, sort of like wool.Ha! Here are just a few.
I used red, white and blue in our urns this year.
Filled alot of pots with red, pink and white. You can see them good from the road. I still have alot of pots to plant flowers in but, that's fun. Not like working up soil, just dump potting soil and pot up.
I bought this cone hanging basket and love it. I bought the last one, hoping they have another one next year. This little pink dogwood tree was my mother's Day gift from my son, Tommy. Hope you are enjoying spring, I sure am. Until next time... Julie

Robin Rug
My favorite time of the year is spring,it's going by fast. I'm trying to slow it down so I can enjoy it. Yesterday, I went to the greenhouse to buy impatients and they were about sold out with very limited colors. It took me awhile but I got most of the colors I wanted. I thought I was getting there early enough, everyone else must of thought the same thing.
I have been hooking and this is my latest rug. The design is by Country Stitches it measures 14.5" x 21". I listed it on Ebay. Until next time... Julie

Parsnip Rug
It is 3:00 and I'm sitting taking a break with a large cup of coffee. I know you're thinking it's too hot for coffee, not for me.
Yesterday we went to the greenhouse and looked at all the beautiful flowers. I did buy a new Hydrangea, some herbs and a couple hanging baskets. It's been in the 80's this week but by the weekend it will be in highs of 60's. Looking forward to cooler temps..
I did finish this rug this week. It is the cutest new pattern by Country Stitches. I have to say it took alot of time to hook but, I love the way it out.

I hung it on a new/old cupboard I just got. Chris had bought it at Ault's and decided she didn't want it. I love it! My rug is for sale so if you're interested email me.Until next time.... Julie
