Finally Finished A Patriotic Rug

Ahh Spring!! It's here but, we had 3 inches of snow last night. The sun is shining and the snow is melting fast. I have been cleaning the leaves and debris out of my flower beds. I noticed the weeds are starting to grow also.
Today I finally finished this rug. It seemed to take FOREVER to finish. I didn't have enough wool that I wanted to use for the background. I ended up mixing a couple different wools, which turns out better anyways. I'm going to list it on Ebay tonight. The pattern is a With Thy Needle & Thread Country Stitiches.
This week was busy. Lindsay left at the beginning of the week for Panama City Florida for spring break. I switched cars with her because my car is new. I didn't want to worry about 4 girls broke down on the side of the highway. The girls got down there and the will be coming back Sunday. Tom's birthday was this week also. So I did alot of baking and cooked alot this week. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

The weather looks good in Ohio. You never know if it's going to snow on St. Patrick's Day. My husband's family is Irish, they left during the potato famine. They were from Tipperary Co. hopefully someday we can visit. I don't know if I will ever get Tom to go because of the very long flight over there. We had a hard enough time going to Puerto Rico. LOL! Hope everyone has a great day!!

Crocuses In Full Bloom

I really appreciate all your nice comments in my anniversary post!!

I went outside today and couldn't believe how many crocuses were blooming. I just can't resist those cute little flowers. This is the most I've ever had blooming. We don't use lawn chemicals so, each year they have increased.
Hopefully, I can get hooking a rug. I have taken a couple days off from hooking. I've been doing some much needed spring cleaning. Hope everyone has a great evening!

Our 29th Anniversary

Today is our 29th wedding anniversary. WOW!! the time flies by, it seems like just yesterday that we got married. My kids ask why did you get married in March? Because Tom is a farmer and after March he would be busy putting the crops in. LOL! This picture was taken when we were on a cruise last November.
We remembered to turn our clocks ahead for spring. It will take a little getting used to but, I love the time change.
Have a great day!!

Crocuses Blooming

The crocuses are blooming in my yard, when they appear it means spring is very near. They are so cute and there are hundreds of honey bees on them. Today it is raining, hopefully it doesn't rain alot.
I have been hooking a rug that someone ordered from me. I'm very close to getting it done. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Remember to change your clocks and spring ahead!!
