~I Love Redbuds~

It has been in the 80's in Ohio. It is supposed to get cooler the rest of the week, that will be fine with me. All the flowering trees are blooming. One of my favorite trees are Redbuds. I took this picture today, I love the color of the flowers. In the bottom of the picture the blue flowers are Virginia Bluebells.

~Olde Rag Doll Rug~

I just listed this rug on Ebay tonight. It was designed by me and I love the way it turned out. I used to sew dolls all the time but, it seems like I'd rather hook than sew these days.
It has been in the 80's here in Ohio. It supposed to get cooler this week though. Hope everyone has a great week.

~Back To Hooking~

I just listed this rug on Ebay tonight. It is a Kindred Spirits design with my design around the edges. I'm really excited about a new rug I started hooking last night. I designed it, I'll post a picture when I'm done with it.

~Dyeing Wool~

I haven't hooked for a month, now I'm really in the mood to make a rug. So yesterday I dyed wool all day. The colors came out very well and I am excited about hooking with it.

~Starting Seeds~

The seeds that I planted are starting to sprout. The seedlings have been slow to sprout because it's not very warm in the barn. We do have heat in the milk house but, it's still not like a greenhouse. I planted seed that I saved from last year's plants and I bought seeds too. I do buy flats of flowers but, growing some of my own flowers saves money.
Last year I didn't have time to start seeds because it was Lindsay's senior year in high school. We were busy going to her softball games, getting ready for prom and graduation. So I'm very excited to start gardening this spring.

Today I was shopping at Goodwill and found this. I opened the box and inside was a Moshimer rug hook, wool, a pattern drawn on burlap with instructions. I bought it for $2.00!!
Today it is snowing in Ohio. The snow isn't sticking to the ground but, it's cold and dreary outside. I knew that weather was going to turn cold so I cut a bouquet of Magnolia before the flowers wilted.

~Spring Peepers~

My son, Tommy, took this picture. Look right in the center of the picture and you will see the cute little guy. A combination of a warm temperatures and rain really gets them singing in the spring.
